During the initial lockdowns, when there was nothing to do but buy groceries or walk outside (here in Florida), I power-walked my dog every day in my suburban neighborhood. Whenever I encountered someone approaching from the opposite direction - all younger than me and obviously walking for fitness - they’d veer off the sidewalk into the street or even to the opposite side of the street. This is a neighborhood where most people are friendly and wave or say hello to strangers. They smiled as they veered off (which I refused to do) and I had a hard time not laughing out loud because it was all so ridiculous. I’m obviously a “senior citizen” so it’s possible they were doing it for my sake. But the people I encountered who didn’t engage in this absurd behavior were people in my age group. We stopped and chatted about our dogs. On the same sidewalk within a couple feet of each other.
For sure -same in our neighborhood. Gave people license for all manner of anti-social behavior. There was one woman in the neighborhood who carried a long stick and would hold it out defensively, saying get back! Insanity not over yet. When the fear mongering rose up a few weeks ago here again, a woman at the grocery store kicked her leg back at my husband in line and said, "6 feet!." Absolute bonkers.
It was all a lie - if you are sick you are sick end of. They used an unfit for purpose test to create an illusion of a specific illness. The only defining symptom of Covid, that can’t be attributed to any other illness, is the test, just the test and only the test.
Of all the nonsense they screamed about “killing grandma” if COVID was really any threat at all, it was the BS PCR tests and masks that made everything worse.
People thought they were safe when they weren’t, and people thought they had recovered from COVID when they hadn’t.
100%! This "asymptomatic" spread idea persists. Those afflicted seem especially concerned about kids as "spreaders." My understanding is you can't transmit a virus w/o symptoms -ie sneezing or coughing. I'd like someone to put asymptomatic spread myth to rest for good.

That’s insane.
I’ve seen that too. People are still acting like we’re all contaminated and throwing Covid spikes at them as we walk by. Ridiculous.
